1918年流感大流行是人类历史上夺去最多生命的事件(5000多万人死亡,比例上相当于今天的全球人口死亡2亿)。1个多世纪以来,它一直是衡量所有其他流行病和新发疾病的基准。如今由严重急性呼吸综合征冠状病毒2(SARS-CoV-2)引起的新型冠状病毒传染病(COVID-19)的流行范围越来越广,在我们应对这一新发传染病的同时应该回忆一下1918年流感大流行。SARS-CoV-2已在中国各地传播了至少2个月,输出到至少36个国家和地区,并且每个一代病例传染了2个以上二代病例。世界卫生组织已宣布此次疫情构成国际关注的突发公共卫生事件。如果公共卫生措施不能控制病毒传播,我们很快将目睹一场致命的全球大流行。
